Rajhans Vidyalaya celebrated Guru Purnima with great reverence and gratitude across the sections to honour the invaluable role of teachers and mentors in shaping the lives of students.

Primary Section

Guru Purnima was celebrated in the Primary Section with great reverence and gratitude to honour the invaluable role of teachers in shaping the lives of students. The morning assembly commenced with a prayer, followed by a brief introduction by Miss Chaya highlighting the significance of Guru Purnima and the importance of the guru-shishya tradition in Indian culture.

The music teacher, Miss Ishani, then led the recitation of the beautiful shloka "Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu", with all the students joining in. The celebration served as a reminder that teachers are guiding lights who inspire, nurture, and empower young minds to become responsible citizens.

The programme instilled in students a deep sense of respect, gratitude, and appreciation for the selfless dedication of their teachers, making the occasion truly meaningful and memorable.

Middle School and High School Section

Rajhans Vidyalaya observed Guru Purnima in the middle school and high school section  with a special morning assembly to honour the invaluable role of teachers and mentors in shaping the lives of students.

The assembly commenced with a warm welcome, followed by an insightful speech highlighting the significance of Guru Purnima. The speaker emphasised that a guru is not only a source of knowledge but also a guide who instils values, wisdom, confidence, and character. Students were reminded of the rich Indian tradition of respecting teachers and paid tribute to Maharishi Ved Vyasa, in whose honour Guru Purnima is celebrated. The address concluded with a heartfelt pledge to respect teachers and uphold their teachings, followed by the enthusiastic cheer, "East or West, Our Teachers are the Best!"

The Thought of the Day, presented through the sacred Sanskrit shloka "Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu...", beautifully conveyed the exalted position of a guru in our lives. This was followed by the Word of the DayĀcāryaḥ, meaning a teacher or guide who leads by example and inspires others through knowledge and values.

The students then recited a meaningful positive affirmation, reaffirming their commitment to learning with humility, practising good values, and striving to become better individuals every day.

Adding a melodious touch to the celebration, the school choir presented a soulful song highlighting the importance of a guru in the lives of students. The heartfelt rendition expressed gratitude towards teachers for their constant guidance, encouragement, and unconditional support, leaving the audience inspired and emotionally connected to the spirit of the occasion.

The assembly concluded with the Principal's words of wisdom, encouraging students to always value their teachers, remain humble in their pursuit of knowledge, and uphold the values of respect, gratitude, and lifelong learning. Her inspiring message beautifully captured the true essence of Guru Purnima and motivated everyone to honour the guiding lights in their lives.
