Shiksha Saptah was celebrated at Rajhans Vidyalaya with great enthusiasm for Std 5th to 10th. The second day of the week-long celebration was FLN Day.

Under Literacy the students watched the videos of different stories like ‘The Starfish Thrower’, ‘The Power of Kindness’, ‘Dinner Disaster’ etc. After viewing the videos and hearing the stories, a discussion was conducted to gauge their understanding of the story and the lessons they learned from it.

Following the discussion, students were provided with guidelines by the teacher to write a review. They wrote about the part of the story they liked, the message or moral of the story, and assessed the story on a scale of 1 to 5.

Under Numeracy the students learnt different concepts of Mathematics by Play-way method. Games like solving Puzzles, Playing with Numbers- ‘Guessing What Number am I?’, Sudoku, Forming Basic Shapes using Geo-Boards, Forming Numbers using a Dice and Place Value Stand.

The activities were conducted successfully with students demonstrating keen interest and active participation and fulfilling the day’s objective of raising awareness and supporting Foundational Literacy and Numeracy efforts.
