About This Activity

Mr. Abhishek Gupta, a leading career counsellor, highlighted how parental prejudices about  subjects and professions often limit students’ choices. He stressed that earning a degree and  building a career are two different aspects, and that today’s children are often more informed  and adaptable than their parents. He advised students to always have a Plan B before pursuing  Plan A, as flexibility is crucial in an unpredictable world.

Mr. Gupta emphasized the importance of knowing when to apply to various colleges and  suggested starting the career search with jobs for freshers, which offer insight into real-world  expectations. He explained that modern careers are increasingly interdisciplinary, no longer  confined to traditional subject selections. Encouraging students to explore opportunities  across domains, he underlined the value of being strategic, open-minded, and future-ready to  thrive in the evolving global job market.

The session concluded on an inspiring note, motivating students to embrace change, remain  curious, and take informed steps towards achieving their dreams.
