The Std. XII Parent Orientation Programme for the academic year 2025-26 was held on 29th March 2025 at 8:00 am in Barrack 49 Hall. The event aimed to provide parents with essential information regarding academic policies, school expectations, and student support services. The session was led by Principal Mrs. Ritu Dubey, Coordinators Shaila Prabhu and Geetha Murudi, and staff members of the Senior Secondary Section.

Key Highlights

  1. School Timings & Attendance Policies
    • School operates from 7:20 am to 1:50 pm.
    • Regular attendance is mandatory; unauthorized absence beyond a month may lead to withdrawal.
    • Early exits or half-day leaves require written permission from parents and approval from authorities.
  2. Uniform & Grooming
    • A strict uniform policy is in place. Students must wear a clean uniform, polished shoes, and white socks.
    • Sports uniform includes a house T-shirt and black track pants with white stripes.
    • Discontinued: Yoga T-shirts, white house skirts, and white house pants from 2025-26 onwards.
  3. Student Expectations & Discipline
    • English-only policy in school.
    • Strict regulations on mobile phone usage and behavioural conduct.
    • Anti-bullying policies are strictly enforced.
  4. Communication Channels
    • MICM App will be the official communication platform (WhatsApp groups will not be used).
    • Parents can contact teachers via school email or write notes in the school calendar.
  5. Academic and Assessment Structure
    • Two-term system:
      • Term I: April – September 2025
      • Term II: October 2025 – January 2026
    • Co-scholastic activities include Work Education, Physical Education, General Studies, and Art Integration.
  6. Parent-Teacher Meetings & Remedial Classes
    • Attendance at Open House is compulsory.
    • Remedial classes are scheduled from 1:50 pm to 2:30 pm.
    • Online classes will be held on the first Saturday of every month from 8:00 am – 11:45 am.
  7. Library & School Facilities
    • Students can borrow two books for 8-15 days.
    • Previous year’s question papers are available in the library.
    • Parents are encouraged to donate books to the school library.
  8. Counseling & Life Skills Programs
    • Counseling services are available with Mrs. Yogeeta Khanna (prior appointment needed).
  9. Sports & Extra-Curricular Activities
    • Sports offered: Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Chess, Korfball, Squash, Badminton, Pickleball, Netball, and Target Ball.
    • Inter-house matches and DSO competitions will be held.
  10. School Events & Celebrations
  • Daily morning assemblies with student participation.
  • Field trips and excursions planned for the academic session, including:
    • One-day picnic for Class XI
    • Overnight trip for Class XII
  • Birthday celebrations: Students can wear casuals and distribute toffees/chocolates (cakes and gifts are not permitted).

The orientation session concluded with a motivational address from the school management, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, discipline, and parent-teacher collaboration. A Q&A session was held, allowing parents to interact with teachers and the school administration.

Before leaving, parents were asked to fill out a feedback form to share their thoughts on the session and provide suggestions for improvement.

The program successfully set the tone for a productive and well-structured academic year at Rajhans Vidyalaya.
