The Orientation Programme for the newly inducted Std XI students of Rajhans Vidyalaya was held on 7th April 2025 at 8:00 a.m. in the Theatre Hall. The session was coordinated and conducted by the Principal, Mrs. Ritu DubeyVice Principal, Mrs. Usha Unnikrishnan, and senior secondary coordinators Mrs. Shaila Prabhu and Mrs. Geetha Murudi, along with the dedicated staff of the Senior Secondary Section.

The orientation aimed to familiarize students and parents with the academic structure, code of conduct, attendance policies, communication channels, assessment methods, uniform and grooming expectations, co-scholastic activities, and available support services such as counseling and life skills programs. Information on streams, assessment structure, subject groupings, and upcoming school events was also shared.

The event marked a positive beginning to the academic year, setting a tone of excellence, discipline, and holistic development.

Post-Orientation Activities

Following the informative session, an engaging Ice-Breaking Activity was conducted for the students to encourage bonding and team interaction. Students were grouped into teams of four and asked to learn and share interesting details about each other. This activity helped foster a sense of camaraderie and comfort among the students. During the interaction, they enjoyed light refreshments including coffee, tea, and wafers, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Each group then presented their members to the audience, introducing one another and sharing what they had learned. This not only helped students get acquainted but also laid the foundation for new friendships.

The next segment included a briefing by Mr. Manoj Nair, the Physical Education teacher, who oriented the students about the sports facilities and physical education program. This was followed by a Campus Tour, which began at the Mess Hall, moved to the Gymnastic Hall housing squash courts, badminton courts, and rock climbing walls, then proceeded to the Open Amphitheatre – Gurukul Triveni, and concluded with visits to the pickle ball court, lawn tennis, and other key facilities.

After the tour, students returned to their respective classrooms, where subject teachers introduced themselves and shared insights into the upcoming academic year. The day concluded on a positive note, and students were dispersed at 11:00 a.m., taking with them not just information but also new connections and a sense of excitement for the year ahead.
