One Child, One Plant Campaign

As per the guidelines of NEP 2020, C.B.S.E has initiated a campaign to raise awareness about environmental hazards and to promote a habit of conservation among children. In view of the above, a tree plantation campaign “One Child, One Plant Campaign” has been proposed.
A notice was sent to students of primary encouraging them to actively participate in the campaign by planting a sapling at home. Students of std IV actively participated in tree plantation drive in school.
A science exhibition was held in school where the topic was “Air, water and land pollution”. Students were educated on the hazards of pollution. They made charts showcasing the above and what measures need to be taken to reduce it.
Students showed enthusiasm in getting used plastic bottles, used pens from their homes as part of the “Green Brigade campaign” which collected plastic wastes.
Teachers educated students about the importance of conservation of our resources like water, energy, food. Students of primary in their own little participate on a daily basis, by switching off the lights and fans when leaving the classrooms, not leaving the taps flowing, not wasting food etc.
Oath was taken on 15th August by students stating that they would all work in protecting the environment and work towards a greener planet.
