The India International Movement To Unite Nations or I.I.M.U.N conference was held in Mumbai from 12th of August to the 14th of August, 2023. Rajhans saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grades.
The opening ceremony took place on the 12th of August at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans Auditorium. The school arranged transportation for everyone attending the conference to and from the venue. The event featured electrifying performances by the dance group Zero Gravity, a televised debate session featuring prominent political figures Dr. Shashi Tharoor and Mr. Jayant Sinha, moderated by Mr. Rajdeep Desai. A panel discussion was also conducted among the female icons of India, including Dr. Kiran Bedi, Mrs. P.T. Usha, and Mrs. Guneet Monga.
The 77th Independence Day was commemorated during the event and I.I.M.U.N’s founder delivered a powerful speech on the role of the youth of India in changing the country.
The following day marked the commencement of committee sessions at CP Goenka International School in Borivali, starting at 9 am. It comprised 3 sessions each lasting for around 3 hours, with breaks for lunch and high tea. The Lok Sabha committee was chaired by a student of Rajhans from 12 E, Dhanvi Bhandary. In the evening from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, a social event took place featuring songs and dance for the entertainment of the participants.
On the last day, a yoga session was conducted for half an hour before the beginning of the committee sessions. All committees were required to pass a resolution to formally conclude the sessions.
Subsequently, awards were presented to individuals who exhibited exceptional zeal and enthusiasm. Notably, Yashvi Daga from 12 D won Special Mention (3rd place) and Vaidehi Rathod from 12 D received Verbal Mention within the Lok Sabha.
Students from Rajhans gained a wonderful experience to cherish forever.
