TIME MANAGEMENT SESSION – 21 OCTOBER 2024
The time management session took place on 21st October 2024, conducted for 6th and 7th standard students by peer educators and Counselor Yogeeta K.
The session aimed to help students understand the importance of effectively managing their time. Through discussions on balancing responsibilities, reducing stress, and improving productivity, students learned how to set goals, plan their tasks, and handle distractions.
The session began with an introduction to time management, emphasizing its significance for academic success and personal well-being. Students were introduced to the concept of SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) and encouraged to identify both short-term and long-term objectives.
Next, various planning techniques were discussed, including the use of calendars, planners, and apps. Students learned how to break down larger tasks into manageable steps, making it easier to tackle their responsibilities. The session also covered common distractions and provided strategies to minimize them, such as creating a designated study space and implementing time-blocking techniques.
A practical activity involved creating To-Do lists, where students outlined their current responsibilities. This exercise encouraged them to reflect on prioritizing tasks effectively.
In conclusion, the session highlighted that mastering time management is a valuable skill that can significantly impact students' academic journeys and personal lives. By regularly practicing these strategies, students can enhance their focus, reduce anxiety, and achieve their goals more efficiently.
