TRAINING OF TRAINERS (ToT) WORKSHOP















Rajhans Vidyalaya hosted a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on February 7th and 8th, 2025, an initiative by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM) and the Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT), Government of India. Seventy-three educators from across various disciplines participated in the event, with 37 participants attending the sessions in the Atal Lab and 36 in the Art Room. The workshop focused on equipping teachers with the skills to train other educators, particularly in light of NEP 2020. Esteemed resource persons, Master Trainers Shri Inder Jeet Mittal and Dr. Sunil Dhapte from DOPT, led the sessions, while CBSE official Dr. Mridula Singh, Head, COE Pune, along with Academic Advisor of BKHMCT Mrs. Deepshikha Shrivastava and Rajhans Vidyalaya Principal Mrs. Ritu Dubey, graced the inauguration ceremony. Held in the school theatre hall, the inauguration took place after breakfast had been served and featured a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and a cultural program that included a prayer song and a dance performance. The speakers emphasized the workshop's significance for NEP 2020 implementation during her address, and after introductions and group photographs, the participants dispersed to begin their training.
DAY 1: Foundation in Training Principles and Methodologies
1. Ice-Breaking, Ground Rules, and Trainer Qualities
The day began with engaging ice-breaking activities that allowed participants to introduce themselves, followed by establishing ground rules to set a collaborative tone. The session also focused on exploring the essential qualities of an effective trainer, such as clear communication, empathy, and adaptability.
2. Training Fundamentals and Adult Learning
Participants were introduced to key training terminologies and the dynamics between training and learning. This segment covered the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and delved into Andragogy, emphasizing its importance for designing learner-centered, effective training sessions.
3. Planning and Designing Interactive Sessions
Transitioning from theory to practice, educators learned how to plan, prepare, and present interactive training sessions. This included an overview of design basics, helping them structure clear visuals and engaging presentations.
4. Training Methods and Evaluation Techniques
The workshop then showcased various training methods, including coaching, discussion leading, and group exercises, followed by a detailed discussion on feedback, assessment, validation, and evaluation—crucial for continuous improvement in training effectiveness.
5. Group Formation for Syndicate Activities
To prepare for Day 2, participants were divided into seven groups based on broader subject domains (Science, Arts, Humanities, and Languages). Each group was tasked with suggesting three topics from which the audience would later select one for presentation.

An Immersive Experience in Experiential Learning and Digital Pedagogy
The second day of the Training of Trainers (ToT) program featured a well-structured session dedicated to experiential learning theories, digital content creation, and the practical application of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The focus was on enabling trainers to facilitate engaging, interactive, and structured educational experiences.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) designed the Training of Trainers (ToT) program to enhance pedagogical approaches by equipping Resource Persons with advanced skills, up-to-date knowledge, and innovative tools. This initiative aims to empower educators across the nation, promoting dynamic teaching techniques that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and comprehensive student development.

Participants delved into experiential learning theories, emphasizing the value of hands-on, inquiry-driven education. Interactive activities encouraged collaboration, creativity, and analytical thinking, reinforcing the importance of learning through experience rather than passive instruction.

Participants were divided into syndicates to deliver simulated training presentations, emphasizing the importance of structured instructional methods. The exercise focused on the systematic delivery of content, equipping trainers with best practices for effective knowledge dissemination.
