MEDITATION WORKSHOP - 2ND JULY 2025

A special meditation workshop was conducted on 2nd July 2025 for the Senior Secondary Section teachers of Rajhans Vidyalaya by Mrs. Deepali Nagrale. The session took place in the Computer Lab from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and aimed to promote mental well-being, relaxation, and mindfulness among the teaching faculty. The environment was thoughtfully prepared with dim lighting and chairs arranged in a zigzag manner to maintain personal space and enhance comfort. Teachers were requested to place their bags in the adjoining room and their shoes under their chairs, allowing them to fully immerse in the session.
The workshop began with a calming “Om” mantra playing through the speakers, setting a peaceful tone. Participants were guided to sit silently with their eyes closed for five minutes to unwind from the day's work and settle their minds. The session then introduced a simple yet powerful aura-sensing exercise. Teachers were asked to gently press their fingertips and the centers of their palms and then slowly bring their hands together and apart to feel the energy between them — a technique that helped them experience their body’s natural energy field.
Following the aura activity, light physical exercises were conducted to release any remaining tension. The highlight of the session was a 10-minute guided meditation based on the Anapana technique by Acharya S.N. Goenka, which focused on observing one’s breath at the entrance of the nostrils. Participants were encouraged to remain completely still and gently bring their attention back to the breath whenever distracted by thoughts or sensations. The use of a singing bowl sound during the session served as a reminder to return to the present moment.
To conclude, a short loving-kindness (Metta) practice was included, where teachers silently sent blessings to themselves, their loved ones, the world, and even those with whom they may have differences. The session ended with another round of the energy ball activity, where many participants could strongly feel the flow of energy, leaving them feeling centered, calm, and deeply relaxed.
The workshop received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Teachers appreciated the experience and expressed a desire for such sessions to be conducted more frequently. It served as a gentle reminder of the importance of inner peace and self-care in our fast-paced lives.
