Report on the Workshop on the Flipped Classroom Approach – 17 September 2025
Venue: Std. IX A – Secondary Section
Resource Person: Mrs. Rekha Singh (Faculty – Rajhans Vidyalaya)
Teachers of the Secondary Section of Rajhans Vidyalaya attended a workshop on the Flipped Classroom Approach conducted by Mrs. Rekha Singh. The session highlighted how this child-centric model enables students to learn at their own pace and promotes greater participation, particularly among introverts.
Teachers were guided on forming small groups of 5–8 students, assigning topics in advance, and encouraging them to research, share, and discuss in class, while teachers act as facilitators rather than lecturers. The concept of peer evaluation was also discussed as an effective way to enhance accountability and active learning.
The workshop emphasized that the flipped classroom encourages experiential learning and can be adapted across all subjects, including grammar, speaking skills, and science. Saroj Teacher shared examples of how this strategy is applied in science to make lessons more engaging and problem-focused. Teachers raised queries regarding the time required for its implementation, but the approach was widely appreciated as a tool to foster collaboration, critical thinking, and deeper classroom engagement.
