POCSO WORKSHOP-24 SEPTEMBER 2025
On 24 th September 2025, Rajhans Vidyalaya hosted a “POCSO Act Awareness Workshop” conducted by Ayaksha Health and Care Organisation, from
1:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the school premises for Rajhans Vidyalaya teachers and support staff. The main objective of POCSO is to provide a strong legal
framework to protect children from sexual offences and to ensure justice is delivered in a speedy and child-sensitive manner.
The workshop was led by Ms. Neelu Grover, a seasoned trainer, educator, and social sector professional with almost two decades of expertise in gender
justice, sexuality education, child protection, reproductive health, and community well-being. Alongside her extensive work with NGOs and institutions, she also serves as HR Director at VISCOMM, a reputed communication solutions partner. Over the years, she has designed and facilitated meaningful workshops for students, teachers, and parents on topics ranging from body safety and puberty to gender diversity, POCSO awareness, and nurturing compassionate children. Through her POSH and gender trainings, she has consistently created safe, stigma-free, and inclusive spaces where every individual feels respected, valued, and empowered. Her commitment, grounded expertise, and thoughtful approach make her not only an exceptional facilitator but also a true change maker.
The POCSO workshop emphasis on understanding the law which explain the provisions, objectives, and scope of the POCSO Act and clarify what
constitutes sexual offences against children. It created awareness & sensitization to educate teachers and staff, about child rights and protection
which remove stigma and encourage open discussions about child safety. The Roles & Responsibilities which stress on the mandatory reporting obligation under POCSO and also clarified the roles of educators, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and authorities.

 Interactive sessions were conducted where child-friendly practices like how to interact with children sensitively if they disclose abuse, avoid re-traumatization during inquiry or support. Teachers and staff were guided on prevention & early identification should be done by recognize warning signs of abuse and promote safe practices in schools, institutions, and homes. 

She also highlighted on Legal Procedures & Support Systems and explain the functioning of Special Courts and child-friendly investigation processes, highlighted available helplines, NGOs, and government support. Lastly empowering Children about “good touch & bad touch”, personal boundaries, and how to seek help. Real-life examples and case studies were also shared to make the session more relatable.
