Career Guidance Workshop for Grades IX & X

Date: July 19, 2025

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Organized by: School Academic Team of Rajhans Vidyalaya | In collaboration with Drishti

A Career Guidance Workshop was conducted  on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 8:00 am to 9:00 am for students and parents of Grades IX & X. The session was presided over by the Heads of Departments and Coordinators. The session was led by Ms. Purnima Pandit, a senior counsellor from Drishti, with over 12 years of experience in career and emotional counselling.

The workshop focused on the three main academic streams – Science, Commerce, and Humanities – while introducing students to emerging and vocational careers in areas such as technology, design, media, entrepreneurship, ethical hacking, wellness, and more. Government career opportunities through UPSC, MPSC, SSC, banking, defence, PSUs, and teaching were also discussed.

Ms. Pandit highlighted that a wise career decision depends on interest, personality, and aptitude, and urged parents to support early career planning in Grades VIII and XII. She emphasized choosing colleges that offer flexible subject combinations to align with students’ strengths and aspirations.

To support this process, Drishti, in collaboration with the school, offers standardized aptitude assessments. These scientific tools help students identify their cognitive strengths, interests, and career potential, offering customized guidance to make informed choices.

Parents raised thoughtful queries about the right college selection after Grade X, career options after opting for pure sciences, and the variety of subject combinations available today. Ms. Pandit addressed their concerns and assured that a follow-up session would be conducted to guide parents further.

The workshop was an enriching experience that helped students and parents navigate the complex world of career choices with greater awareness and confidence. It fostered open dialogue, clarified common doubts, and offered actionable insights.
