To support and guide students during the crucial phase of Board Examination preparation, two insightful sessions were conducted for the students of Standard XII with the objective of enhancing confidence, reducing stress, and promoting a balanced approach to studies.
The first session was conducted by the Senior Secondary Coordinator, Mrs. Geetha Murudi, who addressed the students through a motivational pep talk. She encouraged students to reflect positively on their prelim examination performance, emphasizing that challenges are learning opportunities and not measures of self-worth. Students were motivated to let go of past setbacks, focus on consistent effort, and believe in their abilities.
Mrs. Murudi highlighted the importance of maintaining calmness, managing time wisely during examinations, and adopting healthy habits such as proper sleep, nutritious food, and regular breaks. The session also included a guided breathing exercise and positive affirmations to help students stay relaxed, focused, and confident. Her address instilled reassurance and self-belief, leaving students motivated and mentally prepared to face their Board Examinations.
Following this, a counseling session was conducted by Counselor Ms. Khushbinder, who provided a comprehensive roadmap for navigating the complexities of the board exam season with emotional resilience and strategic planning. She shifted the focus from a rigid academic routine to cultivating a healthy mindset, empowering students to voice their stressors rather than internalizing them. Practical techniques were shared to maintain emotional balance and preserve cognitive performance under pressure.
A key highlight of Ms. Khushbinder’s session was her guidance on managing social and familial dynamics. She advised students on setting healthy boundaries with parents to reduce the stress caused by comparisons and encouraged a supportive, collaborative home environment. She also introduced smarter study habits, recommending dynamic to-do lists over unrealistic, hour-by-hour schedules to foster flexibility and a sense of accomplishment. Emphasis was laid on effective learning strategies such as active recall, along with the vital role of proper nutrition and adequate sleep in memory consolidation and peak mental performance.
Both sessions proved to be highly impactful and reassuring. Together, they equipped students with emotional strength, practical strategies, and renewed confidence to approach their Board Examinations with focus, positivity, and determination
