A paradigm shift is required in the approach to Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) teaching and learning. The need of the day is for inquiry-based skills with a design thinking methodology to be introduced to students. EXSTEMPLAR Education Linkers Foundation aims to stimulate investigative ability, inventiveness, and creativity among students through the EY STEM App project. The core objective of this program will be to introduce young girls from 13 to 18 years to download and use the EY STEM App to gain an understanding of STEM concepts and their usage; become aware of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals; develop skills such as design thinking mindset, and to get them to think out of the box, break boundaries, exceed limitations and create some unique projects which will be showcased at the EY STEM School Level Challenge Events. 200 Girls from different school will be made aware of how to Invent; Innovate; and Campaign. They will complete activities and earn badges which they can redeem for prizes and awards.
