About This Activity
A Folk Dance Competition was organised for the students of Grades III and IV to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and traditions of India. Students from both grades participated enthusiastically and showcased vibrant folk dances representing different states of the country.
The event commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, who highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting our cultural traditions. The participants, dressed in colourful traditional costumes, performed with great energy, grace, and coordination. The parents of the participants were captivated by the lively music, expressive movements, and authentic presentation of various folk dance forms.
The talented alumni of Rajhans Vidyalaya served as judges and evaluated the performances based on creativity, costumes, expressions, and overall presentation.
The performances reflected the diversity of India, with students presenting dances such as Koli, Lavani, Bhangra, Gidda, Gondhal, Ghoomar, and other regional folk dances.
The competition provided students with an excellent platform to develop confidence and appreciate India's cultural diversity.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the participants, teachers, judges, and organisers for making the competition a grand success. The Folk Dance Competition was a memorable and enriching experience for everyone present.
