About This Activity

Rajhans Vidyalaya commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 24 July 2026 with a solemn and inspiring Special Assembly to honour the brave martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War of 1999. The programme paid tribute to the courage, patriotism, and unwavering dedication of the Indian Armed Forces.

The assembly began with a heartfelt tribute to the heroes of Kargil, followed by a moving Marathi poem and an eloquent speech by a student highlighting the sacrifices of the soldiers. The speech also honoured Captain Vikram Batra, PVC, whose famous words, "Yeh Dil Maange More!", continue to inspire generations. A stirring patriotic song by the school choir brought the assembly to a fitting close, leaving the audience filled with gratitude, national pride, and deep respect for the brave defenders of the nation. It reminded everyone that the nation's peace and freedom are safeguarded by their selfless service.

The celebration continued with the screening of a video for students of Grades V–VIII, featuring a powerful enactment by students depicting the fierce battles of the Kargil War and the triumphant capture of Tiger Hill. The performance captured the courage, determination, and joy of the victorious soldiers. This enactment had been performed before students of Grades IX–XII on 22 July 2026.

The Scouts and Guides paid their respects through a meaningful live drawing dedicated to the martyrs, followed by a dignified ceremonial salute, symbolising gratitude and reverence for the nation's brave hearts.

The celebration concluded with informative presentations on the vital role of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. Students learned how the Army displayed extraordinary courage in recapturing strategic mountain peaks, while the Air Force, through Operation Safed Sagar, and the Navy, through Operation Talwar, played crucial roles in securing India's victory.
