About This Activity

The morning assembly held on Thursday, 18th July 2025, was dedicated to Nelson Mandela International Day, a global observance that honours the life, leadership, and legacy of Nelson Mandela. The day serves as a reminder to uphold values of peace, equality, and social justice.

The assembly began with the news bulletin by Ananya Goel, where national and international updates were shared to keep students informed and aware. This was followed by an impactful speech by Shaivi Jain, who spoke about Mandela’s connection with India, his admiration for Mahatma Gandhi, and his lifelong fight against racial discrimination. The speech encouraged students to embody his values in everyday actions.

Caleb D’souza presented a motivating Thought of the Day, while Arnav Paradkar introduced the Word of the Day, Equality, both resonating with Mandela’s ideals. Aarav Khatu concluded the assembly with a heartfelt Positive Affirmation, reminding everyone that small acts of kindness and courage can lead to positive change. The assembly was reflective and inspiring, helping students understand the relevance of Mandela’s principles in today’s world and encouraging them to be agents of compassion and unity.
