About This Activity

To deepen the understanding of the lesson "A Letter to God" by G.L. Fuentes, the students of Class X participated in a creative writing and mailing activity. The goal was to explore the themes of unwavering faith and human kindness through personal expression.

The students were tasked with writing two distinct letters:

  1. A Letter to God: Mirroring the protagonist Lencho, students penned their personal challenges and worries, seeking strength or solutions through faith.
  2. A Letter of Gratitude: Students wrote to a family member who has supported them during difficult times, expressing sincere thanks for their help and presence.

After drafting their letters, the students took their learning beyond the classroom. They visited a local post box to formally mail their letters, experiencing the traditional process of communication featured in the story.

The activity successfully bridged the gap between literature and real-life emotions. It taught students the importance of vulnerability in seeking help and the value of gratitude toward those who act as "postmasters" in their own lives—providing support when it is needed most.
