INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION -15 AUGUST 2025

The dawn of 15th August 2025 brought with it a spirit of patriotism, pride, and gratitude as the school came alive with the hues of the tricolour to commemorate the 79th Independence Day of India. The atmosphere resonated with fervour as students, teachers, and dignitaries assembled to honour the sacrifices that bestowed upon us the priceless legacy of freedom.

The celebration commenced with a warm welcome extended to our esteemed Chief Guest, Mrs. Ritu Dubey, our beloved Principal, and the distinguished Guests of Honour of the occasion — Administration Officer - Sub. Major Mahukar Khot, Sena Medal and HR Manager & Bursar - Major Abhishek Singh. Their gracious presence added dignity and grandeur to the day.

The highlight of the morning was the flag hoisting ceremony, where the sacred Tiranga was unfurled by the Chief Guest. As the saffron, white, and green fluttered high in the sky, the gathering reverberated with the strains of the National Anthem, sung with reverence and pride.

Following this, the March Past by the Scouts and Guides lent a touch of discipline, dedication, and patriotic zeal. Their synchronised steps and salutes mirrored the values of duty and devotion that form the backbone of our nation.

The programme further unfolded with a poignant speech by a student, evoking reflections on the essence of freedom and the responsibilities it entrusts us with. This was followed by a soul-stirring patriotic song sung by the school choir, which resonated in every heart and filled the ambience with emotion. To complement the song, a vibrant patriotic dance performance was presented, symbolising the unity, culture, and spirit of our diverse nation.

The occasion was further dignified by the Investiture Ceremony of the newly instated Student Council, marking a moment of honour and responsibility. Each member was ceremoniously bestowed with a sash and badge, symbolising the trust and confidence reposed in them. The highlight of the event was the Oath-Taking Ceremony, where the Chief Guest administered the oath and the council members solemnly repeated after her, pledging to uphold the values of integrity, responsibility, and devoted service.

The Chief Guest, Mrs. Ritu Dubey, then addressed the gathering with her inspiring words, urging students to cherish their freedom by embracing knowledge, compassion, and responsibility as their guiding lights.

The programme continued with a touching farewell speech by the outgoing School Captain, who reflected upon a journey of leadership and learning. This was gracefully succeeded by the speech of the newly elected School Captain, who promised to carry forward the legacy with enthusiasm and commitment.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to making the day memorable. With the announcement of refreshments for all students, the joyous morning drew to a close.

The Independence Day celebration of 2025 thus stood as a resplendent blend of patriotism and promise, reminding all present that freedom is not merely a gift of the past but a responsibility for the future. As Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru wisely said:

“Freedom and power bring responsibility. That responsibility rests upon this Assembly, this Legislature, and this Government, but ultimately, it rests upon each one of us.”
