HMPS Andheri Campus is committed to the holistic development of students through a balanced focus on academics, values, and sports. The campus is known for its modern infrastructure and emphasis on physical fitness and co-curricular activities. The inauguration of Turf 1, Turf 2, and the new Gymnasium (Udeshi Hall) was held on 9 February 2026, marking an important milestone in strengthening the school’s sports facilities and promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among students.

The occasion was graced by esteemed trustees Shri Sudhir Merchant and Shri Anand Vashi, who were warmly welcomed by the Director, Major General Deepak Saxena. The event also witnessed the presence of Advisor Shri Shyam Bhadada and Trust Architect Shri Puranjay Gandhi. The campus was further honoured by the presence of Smt. Sudhir Merchant, Smt. Dhruti Vashi, Smt. Sangeeta Saxena, and the Principals of the four BKHMCT schools—Shri Govindrajan, Smt. Ritu Dubey, Smt. Nisha Menon, and Shri Sanjay Walawalkar. Mrs. Poonam Sharma, Head of Skill Development, was also present.

The highlight of the event was the 1st Interschool Band Competition. The participating school bands were positioned in squads from left to right in the following order: HMPS–SSC, Rajhans Vidyalaya, HMPS–ICSE, and Bai Kabibai English School & Junior College (Fort School). As the esteemed trustees entered the venue, all four bands played a coordinated welcome tune in unison, creating a grand and ceremonial atmosphere. This was followed by a synchronized command given by Major Shaurya of HMPS–ICSE, setting the tone for discipline, unity, and precision among the young performers.

Each team performed within its allotted time and presented its designated tune for the band display, following commands with discipline and accuracy. The performance tunes were as follows: HMPS–SSC – “Bharat Ke Jawan”; Rajhans Vidyalaya – “Kadam Badhaye Ja”; HMPS–ICSE – “When the Saints Go Marching In”; and Bai Kabibai English School & Junior College – “Bugle March.” The well-synchronized movements, coordinated rhythms, and strict adherence to commands reflected the training, dedication, and teamwork of all participating bands.

Exhibition football matches for girls and boys were also conducted as part of the celebrations. Smt. Sudhir Merchant and Smt. Dhruti Vashi ceremonially kicked off the matches. The games were played with great enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship, highlighting the importance of active participation and healthy competition among students.

The audience, comprising students, teachers, and parents, cheered enthusiastically for all the teams, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the event.

The judges—Shri Mahendra Kamble and ACP Sanjay Kalyani—evaluated the band performances based on rhythm, coordination, presentation, and overall impact. After much anticipation, Rajhans Vidyalaya was declared the winner of the competition for its outstanding performance and remarkable coordination.

Shri Sudhir Merchant appreciated the winning team and encouraged the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among the students. The event at Turf 1 concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the winners were felicitated with trophies and medals.

Overall, the programme was a grand success and a memorable milestone for the campus, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in sports and holistic education.
