GRADE 5,6,7 & 8 PARENT'S ORIENTATION PROGRAMME-28 MARCH 2026




The Parent Orientation Programme for Standards VI, VII and VIII (A.Y. 2026–27) was conducted at Rajhans Vidyalaya on 28 March 2026 at 10:00 a.m., with active participation from parents.
The session began with a warm welcome, appreciating parents for their presence and continued support in their child’s learning journey.
The objective of the orientation was to familiarise parents with school policies, the academic framework, and expectations, while reinforcing the importance of strong school–parent collaboration.
- An overview of the daily schedule, including school timings, reporting time, and breaks, was presented.
- The importance of punctuality and regular attendance was emphasised.
- Uniform and grooming guidelines for boys and girls were explained to ensure neatness and discipline.
Parents were informed about:
- Minimum attendance requirements and leave procedures
- Importance of punctuality and regularity
- Expected behaviour, including respect and a strict no-bullying policy
- Prohibition of mobile phones and electronic devices (analogue watches allowed from Std. VIII onwards)
- Timely submission of assignments and proper bag management
The importance of effective communication was highlighted through:
- Regular checking of the school diary
- Monitoring the MICM app for updates, worksheets, and submissions
- Email communication for formal correspondence
- Mandatory Open House meetings
The curriculum includes:
- Core subjects: English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.
- Graded subjects include Artificial Intelligence, Marathi, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Skill Development.
- Focus areas include language development, collaborative learning, and project-based learning.
Assessment Structure
- The academic year is divided into two terms, each with Internal Assessment (20 marks) and a Written Examination.
- All subjects carry 100 marks (20 + 80), with Sanskrit following a different pattern :
- Internal assessment includes Periodic Test, Multiple Assessment, Notebook Submission, and Subject Enrichment.
Emphasis on holistic development through co-scholastic activities:
- Art and Music for creativity
- Physical Education for fitness and teamwork
- Skill Development for practical learning
- Importance of discipline, behaviour, and overall personality development was reinforced.
- The grading system for scholastic and co-scholastic areas was explained for comprehensive evaluation.
- Parents were informed about:
- Academic Scholarships for students scoring 95% and above
- Sports Scholarships based on performance at various levels
Key focus on communication skills through:
- Interactive learning methods
- Presentation and public speaking opportunities
- Reading habits and use of resources
- Listening skills development
The school provides opportunities through:
- Sports training and multiple sports activities
- Performing arts, competitions, and school events
- Educational field trips and recreational visits
- Library facilities to promote reading habits
- Additional guideline regarding birthday celebration norms, were shared.
Subject-wise expectations for English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Marathi were outlined.
Contact details and communication channels were shared for continued parent engagement.
Principal, Mrs. Ritu Dubey, addressed the parents and highlighted that the middle school years are crucial for developing independence, responsibility, and confidence. She encouraged parents to support their children while allowing them to take ownership of their learning. She also emphasised the importance of discipline, routine, and a positive home environment, along with continued collaboration with the school.
The session concluded with key takeaways for parents, focusing on nurturing curiosity, building consistent study habits, and maintaining a balanced routine for the overall development of the child.
