Freedom to Design Your Own Academic Journey!

A career guidance workshop for the students of Std. XII was held on 17 July 2026 in the Theatre Hall at Rajhans Vidyalaya. The session was conducted by Mrs. Jinal Shah, Deputy Director – Outreach, Ashoka University. With over a decade of experience in the education sector and a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Mrs. Shah has guided numerous students and parents in making informed career choices.

During the session, she introduced students to Ashoka University, located in Sonipat near Delhi NCR, highlighting its fully residential campus, modern hostels, excellent sports facilities, and over 20 dining outlets. Inspired by leading US universities, Ashoka offers a flexible academic structure that allows students to pursue majors, minors, and interdisciplinary combinations based on their interests.

One of Ashoka University's students also shared his personal experience of studying at the university. He spoke about interacting with a diverse community of students, learning from distinguished faculty, and benefiting from the university's world-class infrastructure, giving the audience a first-hand insight into campus life at Ashoka.

Mrs. Shah emphasized the university's distinguished faculty from globally renowned institutions, its diverse student community, and its world-class infrastructure, including a 24/7 library, advanced laboratories, and vibrant collaborative spaces. She also spoke about the enriching campus life with over 70 clubs and societies, generous scholarship opportunities supporting nearly half the student population, and a strong culture of innovation and leadership.

The presentation highlighted Ashoka University's impressive network of over 200 founders and supporters from industry, including leaders such as Pradip Kalra of MakeMyTrip. Students also learned about the excellent career prospects available to graduates, who secure placements across business, law, media, research, and the social sector, while many pursue higher studies at leading universities worldwide.

The session provided valuable insights into Ashoka University's unique liberal education model and encouraged students to explore academic pathways that align with their interests, strengths, and future aspirations.
