On 24 July 2026, the Anti Narcotics Cell, Crime Branch, Mumbai, led by Police Inspector Mr. Vishal Chandanshive, conducted an awareness programme on "Say No to Drugs" for the students of Grades XI and XII at Rajhans Vidyalaya. The programme aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

The session began with an explanation of how to say "No" to drugs by resisting peer pressure and making responsible choices. Mr. Vishal provided an overview of the different types of drugs, their sources, and their harmful effects on physical and mental health. Students were also informed about the remedies available to overcome drug addiction, including the importance of seeking professional counselling and medical treatment.

The speaker emphasized the need to educate oneself about drug abuse and to spread awareness among family, friends, and society. Students were encouraged to cope with stress in healthy ways rather than turning to drugs. Engaging in sports, drawing, painting, music, and other hobbies was highlighted as an effective way to maintain emotional well-being and lead a balanced lifestyle. Students were reminded that friends play a vital role in influencing one's decisions, making it essential to choose positive and supportive company. The importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle that promotes happiness and overall well-being was also emphasized.

To raise awareness about the growing impact of substance abuse among teenagers, Mr. Vishal shared survey findings published in The Times of India. Informative videos were screened to help students better understand the dangers of drug addiction and its consequences. The session also covered the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, explaining the laws related to drug possession, consumption, and trafficking. Students were informed that drug trafficking is a serious criminal offence and carries severe legal penalties.

The awareness programme successfully inspired students to make informed choices and reinforced the powerful message: "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life."
