About This Activity

On 4th September 2026, the Primary Section organized a vibrant event in the Primary Building to celebrate Dahi Handi, Teacher’s Day, and No Bag Day with great enthusiasm and excitement. The celebration introduced young learners to the rich cultural traditions associated with Janmashtami and the childhood stories of Lord Krishna. The program began with a brief introduction to the birth of Lord Krishna through a skit presented by Grade 4 students, followed by a lively dance performance in colorful attire that created a festive atmosphere.

The highlight of the event was the Dahi Handi activity, which filled the surroundings with joy and excitement. A Grade 2 student dressed as Lord Krishna skillfully broke the Dahi Handi as fellow students cheered enthusiastically. A human pyramid was formed by Grade 4 students, allowing them to connect with Indian culture while developing essential values like teamwork, cooperation, confidence, and mutual trust. Afterward, the students danced to festive music and enjoyed the celebration to the fullest. The occasion was graced by the Principal and Vice Principal, alongside the Director and his family, who attended as the chief guests.

Alongside Dahi Handi, the students celebrated Teacher’s Day and No Bag Day, designed to provide a joyful learning experience while expressing gratitude toward their educators. Grade 10 students stepped into the primary classrooms as "Student Teachers" to conduct lessons. To make their teachers feel truly special, the primary students presented heartfelt handmade greeting cards. As part of No Bag Day, students enjoyed a refreshing break from their regular academic routine by participating in fun activities such as card making and watching educational videos on Janmashtami, the Ganpati festival, and the significance of Raksha Bandhan. Overall, the event fostered key values including gratitude, teamwork, creativity, confidence, and deep appreciation for teachers.
