National Space Day Celebrations at Rajhans Vidyalaya
National Space Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across Rajhans Vidyalaya for the Academic Year 2026–27, inspiring students to explore the wonders of the universe, space technology, and India’s remarkable achievements in space research.
The primary section celebrations commenced on 20th August 2026 in the Primary Building. The programme opened with an insightful speech by Miss Harini, who introduced the core concepts of space exploration. Students then watched educational videos detailing why National Space Day is celebrated on 23rd August and highlighting key milestones in India's space journey. A special feature titled "From Chandrayaan to Gaganyaan" showcased the nation's progress from lunar missions to preparing for human spaceflight, leaving young minds inspired with the idea that curiosity and perseverance know no limits.
To further foster creativity and scientific thinking, a Poster-Making Activity was conducted on 27th August 2026 during school hours for Grades V and VI in their respective classrooms. Grade V students illustrated imaginative concepts around the theme "My Space Garden – Growing Life Beyond Earth," while Grade VI students designed posters on "My Space Kitchen – Food and Cooking Beyond Earth." The students presented original ideas on how science and technology could support human life beyond Earth.
Simultaneously, an Online Space-Themed Quiz was organized for students of Grades VII and VIII in the Computer Lab on 27th August 2026. The quiz tested and expanded their knowledge on ISRO’s achievements, Chandrayaan missions, astronomy, the solar system, and basic space science. To motivate the young learners, all participants who completed the quiz were awarded certificates from ISRO.
Overall, the series of events successfully combined learning, creativity, and interactive technology, instilling a deep sense of pride in India’s space contributions while nurturing scientific curiosity among the students.
