CYBER SAFETY AWARENESS - 1 SEPTEMBER 2026
About This Activity
Rajhans Vidyalaya observed Cyber Safety Awareness this week through informative and interactive assembly sessions aimed at encouraging students to become responsible, alert and thoughtful digital citizens.
On 1 September 2026, Ms. Chandni conducted an engaging session for students of Std. V to VIII on Cyber Security and Digital Tracking. Through questions and relatable examples, she explained that using a fake username or profile does not necessarily make a person anonymous online. Students were introduced to concepts such as IP addresses, device information, device identifiers such as IMEI and MAC addresses, and network and location information. The session helped them understand that online activity can leave behind digital and technical clues and that actions in the virtual world can have real-world consequences.
As part of the week's Cyber Safety initiative, Ms. Geetha Murudi conducted an interactive assembly session for students of Std. IX to XII on the theme “The Internet Never Forgets.” The session highlighted how every click, post, search and share can contribute to one's digital footprint. Students learnt about active and passive digital footprints and were encouraged to pause, think and then post.
The session also addressed important aspects of online privacy, phishing, fake profiles, AI-generated content, deepfakes, misinformation and cyberbullying. Through real-life situations, questions and a rapid-fire “Safe or Unsafe?” round, students actively participated and learnt how to recognise potentially harmful online behaviour. The message “SEE → STOP → VERIFY → SHARE” reinforced the importance of checking information before forwarding it.
The assembly concluded with a Cyber Safety Pledge, through which students resolved to protect their personal information, think before clicking or sharing, verify information, refrain from cyberbullying, report unsafe online behaviour and seek help from a trusted adult whenever required.
The week's sessions effectively reinforced a simple yet powerful message: technology must be used wisely, safely and responsibly. Students were reminded to STOP. THINK. VERIFY. THEN CLICK.
