The morning of 15th August 2026 began with gentle showers, as the rain seemed to join the school community in welcoming the celebration of the 80th Independence Day of India. Despite the weather, the spirit of patriotism remained undiminished.

The flag-hoisting ceremony was conducted at the Basketball Court. The celebration commenced with a warm welcome extended to our esteemed Chief Guest, Mrs. Ritu Dubey, our beloved Principal, and the distinguished Guest of Honour of the occasion — Administration Officer - Sub. Major Mahukar Khot, Sena Medal and HR Manager. The  National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest with pride and reverence, followed by the National Anthem by the school band. The March Past by the Scouts and Guides, accompanied by the band, further reflected discipline, unity, and patriotic spirit. Their synchronised steps and salutes mirrored the values of duty and devotion that form the backbone of our nation.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the remaining programme, the celebration was moved to the Theatre Hall, where the proceedings continued seamlessly. The programme included an inspiring address by Ma’am, a patriotic song, a speech by the Primary Captain, a Marathi patriotic song, and a vibrant dance performance. The presence and ceremonial participation of the newly appointed Student Council added a meaningful dimension of leadership and responsibility to the occasion.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts of the management, Principal, teachers, students, performers, Scouts and Guides, school band, and support staff.

The Independence Day celebration at Rajhans Vidyalaya was a graceful blend of patriotism, leadership, discipline, and cultural expression, proving that even the rain could not dampen the spirit of celebration. The day concluded with a renewed commitment to cherish our freedom and uphold the responsibilities that come with it.

Jai Hind!
