Mental Health Awareness Week was observed from 5 to 9 October 2026 to sensitise students to the importance of mental health and emotional well-being. Special assembly was conducted during the week, wherein various student speakers addressed important aspects of mental well-being through speeches, poems, thoughts for the day, words of the day and self-affirmations.

The topics covered included Happiness - A Gift to the Mind, Mental Health of Teenagers, Gratitude - The Little Things That Make Life Beautiful, and The Power of Positive Words.

The speakers highlighted the importance of caring for our minds, understanding the emotional well-being of teenagers, appreciating the little joys of life, and developing a positive outlook. A poem on gratitude encouraged students to recognise and value the simple blessings in their lives. The sessions also emphasised how kind, encouraging and supportive words can strengthen relationships and contribute to a positive environment.

Thoughts by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, an Arabic proverb and a quote by Mother Teresa reinforced the messages of happiness, gratitude and kindness. The words of the day-Contentment, Appreciation and Encouragement-along with self-affirmations, encouraged students to practise gratitude, develop self-confidence and spread positivity.

The special assembly conveyed the message that mental well-being can be nurtured through everyday actions and positive choices. It encouraged students to care for themselves, appreciate others and contribute towards creating a happy, supportive and inclusive school environment.
